Steve doesn’t just teach you how to sing—he helps you understand your voice as an instrument and an extension of who you are. His teaching style is supportive, insightful, and tailored to each student’s unique needs. Every lesson is full of practical tools, thoughtful feedback, and encouragement that makes you feel seen and heard.

Beyond the studio, Steve is one of the most dedicated and caring mentors I’ve had. He consistently shows up for his students, past and present—he’s the kind of teacher who will attend your shows, cheer you on, and genuinely celebrate your successes. Over the years, he’s also given me countless opportunities to perform and gain experience in front of live audiences, which has been essential to my growth as a performer.

When it came time to apply to college, Steve went above and beyond. He not only helped me prepare and record my audition materials for Carnegie Mellon University—he even found a pianist to accompany me. His support throughout that entire process was truly incredible, and I’m proud to say those auditions earned me a full-ride scholarship.

I truly wouldn’t be the singer, performer, or person I am today without Steve’s mentorship, generosity, and unwavering belief in me. I’m incredibly grateful to have had him as a teacher and guide."
